The Day Of K

Who’s amazing? I’m amazing.

More Paramore? October 29, 2007

Do any of you listen to the band Paramore? I really love their song Misery Buisness. It has such an energetic beat and is just a good song to dance along with.

But there is just one line that always bothered me.

Misery Buisness:

Once a whore, you’re nothing more

Sorry, that ain’t every gonna change

Maybe this doesn’t deserve the thought I’m giving it. But do you think that people’s past actions determine who they are for the rest of their life?

P.S. No, no one’s past actions determine who they are now. People change all of the time and are constantly bettering themselves.

Hey, hope you don’t mind my barging in here.

As I understand the song, she’s lamenting at how she’s being treated by her peers. She’s saying that once you are branded as a whore, then to those who brand you nothing you do matters… she’s saying that her peers are wrong to act that way. That’s the way I took it anyway.

Have you seen the video? I really like it. Love the song too.
